In January 2025, 2 intrepid explorers risked it all for Harrogate Neighbours.
Pete and Steve flew to Africa to climb Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa that stands at a whopping 19,340 feet tall!
Both men are long time supporters of Harrogate Neighbours, and both have recently lost parents. They wanted to honour their memories with a life changing trek to raise money for Harrogate Neighbours Community Hub, which helps people find the help they need.
Their target is £19,340, a sum of money almost as big as the mountain itself!
They flew to Africa on the 15th January, then spent their time climbing Kilimanjaro. They aimed to reach the summit and return by 29th January.
Pete and Steve weren't quite able to reach their goal, but they were able to raise a whopping £5730! Thank you so much Steve and Pete! To watch the highlights of their journey, watch the video below
